Following an extensive career in corporate communications, Robyn now leads Davidson Kemp Consultancy Ltd and, as a communications consultant, supports a wide variety of people and organisations. Her professional qualifications include a MBA from Massey University, a BA and Post Graduate Diploma in social sciences from Otago, a Diploma in Teaching, and numerous professional studies in the fields of training and communications. She is a Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Management (NZIM) and is a member of the New Zealand and American Associations for Training and Development (NZATD and ASTD) and also National Speakers Association (NSA).
Her corporate experience includes responsibility for communications strategy and implementation, organisational leadership, and significant staff development and change management programmes. In her consultancy role she advises a wide range of organisations in "bridge-building" - effectively connecting those that matter to their success.
Robyn has led a number of professional development programmes, communication audits, market research projects, and marketing and branding strategies for a wide range of organisations. These include market leaders in a range of sectors, including public companies, local and central government groups, infrastructure corporations, and several not-for-profit organisations.
She has researched and published in the corporate communications field and presented her work in New Zealand, Australia, and the USA. She is considered an outstanding presenter.
Robyn currently facilitates a number of training and development programmes for clients and also as a lead facilitator for NZIM, covering interpersonal communication, cultural communication, and leadership issues, and develops and leads in-house programmes for a broad range of companies and organisations to match their specific needs. Dealing with conflict and with customers, writing for business, managing time, and effective leadership are just some of the topics in demand.
She also coaches a wide range of clients supporting their personal and professional growth. Robyn is known for her passion for empowering people to add value to their organisations through developing their skills and enhancing their effectiveness.
